Whatever our hands touch-
We leave fingerprints!
On walls, on furniture
On doorknobs, dishes, books.
There's no escape.
As we touch we leave our identity.
Oh God, wherever I go today
Help me leave heartprints!
Heartprints of compassion
Of understanding and love.
Heartprints of kindness
And genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lonely neighbor
Or a runaway daughter
Or an anxious mother
Or perhaps an aged grandfather.
Lord, send me out today
To leave heartprints.
And if someone should say,
"I felt your touch,"
May that one sense YOUR LOVE
Touching through ME.
I MADE THIS ROOM TO ENABLE YOU TO RELAX
So kick off your shoes, take a
soft cushion from the floor and lay down.
While you are listening to the soft
music imagine you are on a golden sandy beech.
Listen to the sound of the
water as it comes lapping closer to your feet.
Slowly you can feel the water
creeping up your legs and you are starting to feel ever so relaxed.
The water
is now lapping around your fingers but, you are so relaxed that you can,t move
your hands.
The warm water is slowly making its way up your upper body and
your relaxation is getting deeper.
Listen to the far off
sound of the curlew and all is well with the world.
The sun is at its hottest and its rays are warming your skin and slowly ever so slowly your eyes begin to open and your body starts to move.
You awake feeling so refreshed that maybe just maybe things will turn out fine.
